Yaak Party is a team of party promoters, DJs and music producers dedicated to the beastly sounds of Drum n Bass. Launched in 2006 by Nose, Yaak Party now consists of three members: Nose, Kingkong and Azek.Spawned by their regular events, Yaak Party has developed tight links with the small, yet ever growing Drum n Bass scene in Bangkok. With a goal to develop and promote Drum n Bass as an exciting and well-accepted music choice among partygoers, their drive is helping to make Bangkok a not-to-be-missed stopover for international Drum n Bass DJs touring through Asia. Whether their crowd is full of real Drum n Bass connoisseurs, or full of people being exposed to DnB for the fist time, Yaak Party wants you to feel the bass as much as they do!

Following the huge success of bringing DnB deejay T-AK (Hospital Records) to Bangkok, the future will see Yaak Party delivering more international DnB DJs to the local stage, kicking off with FUTUREBOUND (Matrix + Futurebound – Viper Recordings) in January 2009.

Meanwhile, Yaak Party has also launched an independent record label, YAAK RECORDS. And so far, each release has been a hit, with Kingkong’s first two releases (Fabulous Things and Tapman) ranking high in the Trackitdown charts (#13 and #17 respectively). More label releases are dropping soon, so stay tuned.

NOSE
Originally from Bangkok, Nose is an experienced producer with more than 10 years in music production industry, working with major and indie labels and working on both TV commercials and movies. With such talent, Nose has decided to surge ahead in his music career by producing Drum n Bass, with some of his exciting tunes about to be released. In Yaak Party’s events, Nose delivers with Ableton Live and is known for his unique style of blending his personal remixes and mashups with a selection of both new and known dancefloor stormers. Over the years, Nose has cemented himself as being the kind of DJ who can effortlessly lift his dancing audience with his energetic candour and his ability to throw down the perfect track at the perfect moment.

KINGKONG
From 2000 until 2003, Kingkong (aka. Kritsada Vadeesirisak) has been a member of Thai rock band, Pluem, as singer, guitarist and producer. Pluem has released no less than four albums and has performed at numerous concerts and events throughout Thailand. Kingkong backs up his stage experience with a grounded education in the art of music, graduating with a Bachelor degree in musicology from the Chandrakasem Institute, Faculty of Fine Art (2004). Following this, Kingkong intensified his carrier in the pop music industry by producing artists such as Pluem and Boost, as well as by composing songs for several leading artists, including Nink, Sornram and Ztudiotomo. In 2005, Kingkong entered the club music world by producing a chilled-out music album called Shedd: Ocean Traveller, selling with success at the third Fat Festival, while one of his songs was chosen to feature on Azion, a recognised electronic music compilation. Kingkong has been a big player in most of Thailand’s leading clubs, including Bed Supperclub, Flix, Astra, Club Culture, Cafe Democ, Syn Bar, Spin, Polly Bar, DDM Club, Paradise (Koh Phangan, Full Moon Party), Whitening Bar (Koh Tao) and Dragon Bar (Koh Tao). His mastery of the DnB genre has also meant he is always a hot pick to play alongside touring and local DnB greats, including Cyantific, Aki, T-Ak Dragon, T-Base, Pichy, PC Lab, Koe, Mr. Saxman and Num T-Bone. His skill is widely recognised, evidenced in his undisputed victory in the first Heineken DJ Spin competition in 2006, which resulted in a headline spot for a year-long Heineken Road Show. In terms of style, Kingkong bangs out mostly Jump Up, Jazzy, Breaks and Drum n Bass.

AZEK
Hailing from France and quickly hijacked into the Yaak Party massive not long after touching down in Bangkok, Azek is the latest addition to the Yaak Party team. With an intuitive ear for music that has ably escorted him behind the decks, Azek has been propelling hard hitting breaks, grooving basslines, Jazzy, Dub and Jump Up styles of DnB since 2007. With a tendency to also delve deep and explore Old Skool Hip-Hop and Rap with European and Latin influences, Azek’s sets are fresh and funky. Such musical energy has seen Azek busting out tunes alongside DJs, Outrage, Mischief, Kingkong, T-Base and Nose in clubs such as DDM Club, 808, Park Bridge, Luminous Club, Cafe Democ and Breaks.
